# Claude Desktop (Chat) × Tokenade

> Claude Desktop (Chat) leaves little room for a local tool: Tokenade covers only what's listed below.

## What `tokenade install` does

- MCP: every third-party server in `claude_desktop_config.json` is wrapped as `tokenade mcp-proxy -- <original command>` (original kept, undone by `tokenade uninstall`), so its results reach you folded. That is the only local channel the chat has.

## Install

    npm install -g @tokenade/cli
    tokenade install
    tokenade login

`tokenade uninstall` restores every file it touched.
