# Hermes × Tokenade

> Tokenade hooks into Hermes; a few layers stay partial, detailed below.

## What `tokenade install` does

- Python plugin in `~/.hermes/plugins/tokenade`, enabled in `config.yaml`; it hooks `pre_tool_call` and `transform_tool_result`.
- No global rules file: the note is written per project.

## What isn't compressed

- Context is partial: the plugin sees each tool result but not the outgoing request, so history isn't trimmed when the prompt cache expires.

## Install

    npm install -g @tokenade/cli
    tokenade install
    tokenade login

`tokenade uninstall` restores every file it touched.
