Roll out Tokenade to a team

Updated

TL;DR — Each developer runs the three install commands (or lets their agent read /install.md) and logs in with their own account. Free and Pro cover unlimited machines; compaction runs locally, so no code or prompt goes through us. For a fleet with unlimited tokens, Enterprise is custom-priced: contact us.

Tokenade has no server to deploy and no proxy to share: it runs on the computer where each developer works, in front of their own agent. Rolling it out to a team is the same install, repeated per developer.

1. Each developer installs it

On each computer, the three commands from Install:

npm install -g @tokenade/cli
tokenade install
tokenade login

tokenade install detects every supported agent on that machine and wires each one in. A developer who prefers not to use a terminal can paste this into their agent instead: Install Tokenade for me: read https://tokenade.net/install.md and follow the instructions.

2. One account per developer

tokenade login links the machine to the developer's own tokenade.net account in the browser (see Log in and activate a machine). Free and Pro accounts cover unlimited machines, so a laptop and a workstation need no extra seat.

3. Nothing leaves the machines

Compaction runs locally, before anything reaches the model: no code, prompt or path goes through Tokenade's servers, and the credentials it recognises are masked before output reaches the agent. What the account does receive is listed in What Tokenade sends and stores. There is no gateway in the request path for a security review to approve.

4. Each developer sees their own savings

tokenade gain and the account dashboard show what Tokenade saved, compactor by compactor (see gain, dashboard and receipt). Savings are per account today: there is no shared team console.

5. A fleet, unlimited tokens: Enterprise

Enterprise removes the token cap and sizes the machine count to the fleet, with priority support. It is custom-priced — contact us with the number of developers and agents involved. Plan limits for Free and Pro are on the pricing page.
