FAQ
Do I need to configure each agent?
No. tokenade install detects every supported agent on the machine and wires each one through the strongest channel it offers: hooks, a plugin, MCP wrapping or the local LLM proxy.
What does “partially compatible” mean?
Some layers can't reach the agent automatically — for example when no hook can sit in front of an editor extension's own tools. Those layers are listed on each agent's brief, with the manual command that covers them.
Does Tokenade send my code anywhere?
No. Compaction runs locally, on the computer where you work. No code, prompts or paths leave the machine, and secrets are redacted before they reach the model.
My agent is not listed. Can I still use Tokenade?
Often yes: any agent that runs shell commands can call tokenade wrap, tokenade read and tokenade web itself after reading the rules file.
