Bio
Paul Irolla is the creator of Tokenade, a token-optimization engine for AI coding agents. He builds the product and writes everything here.
Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from Université Paris-Saclay. 12+ years in AI/ML and 7+ years in cybersecurity — mobile-malware detection via deep learning and application security — with academic publications and conference talks at Black Hat Asia, Chaos Communication Congress, and others.
After leaving the lab, Paul shipped several indie products in the AI-tooling space. Tokenade came out of executing the loop himself: running coding agents all day and watching them burn tokens re-reading files, dumping whole directories and shipping verbose command output. He built the tooling that cuts that waste in one command — and documents the techniques that actually move the needle.
He writes here when he has something concrete to add: a measured result, a technique that worked or didn't, a piece of code that survives contact with production. Not a content marketer — a practitioner who happens to write down what he ships.
Fewer tokens, same results — automatically.
